Timothy's Story
Giving Timothy’s love of the game a chance to grow.
Timothy was born with underdeveloped lungs and damaged kidneys. Not expected to live through the night, he was immediately transferred to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children where a pediatric neonatology team helped strengthen his lungs, while nephrology specialists treated his kidneys. After more than a decade of personalized treatment and close monitoring, Timothy was healthy enough to accept a successful kidney transplant. His uncle gave him a kidney and the dedicated nephrology specialists at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children helped give him a chance. Now Timothy can pursue his passion for baseball without kidney problems standing in the way.
